About Me |
My path to the world of marketing research has not been the traditional one. I started a small business while still in high school and later worked in sales, marketing, and management roles in advertising, construction, and public safety. I later attended the University of Manitoba in my home town, the Canadian prairie city of Winnipeg, where I completed an Honors BA in Psychology. Studying cognitive psychology sparked my passion for research. I found myself intensely curious about the psychological mechanisms that drive evaluations, preferences, and judgments that form the foundation for people’s decisions.

My curiosity was inspired, in part, by the many “irrational” decisions I had witnessed in the business world. I joined the doctoral program at the Alberta School of Business, in Edmonton, Canada, where I have had the pleasure of indulging my curiosity by conducting research aimed at answering fundamental questions about consumer decision making.
When I am not studying consumer behavior you can find me cooking up a storm or exploring nature. My passion for research is matched by my passion for good food and fresh air. While I don't snap pictures in the kitchen, I can't resist capturing the beauty of the wild. The gallery below features some of the wonders of nature I have had the pleasure of exploring along the West Coast, in the Rocky Mountains, and across Northwest Ontario. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed these magnificent locations.
